How do I work? Let me count thy ways
I have a number of posts half started and written. I'm thinking that I need to work on actually FINISHING those posts and post them, though they might be out of order on thoughts - it's ok though. Everything is a process and a learning journey.
I posted on my Facebook, just this morning that I had 4 UFO's needing to be worked on - looking for thoughts on what I should tackle first. This is big as not only did I pull things out, I am making an attempt to finish a project and actually make some artwork! The photos I posted are below!
(I'm still trying to figure out how to do the whole online blogging thing - posting pictures and all!)
Anyway, a number of comments and likes came through. I had a sense that I knew which one *I* wanted to work on first - which is what I was planning on doing, but I wanted to see what others thoughts were on the whole thing.
After that, I went digging out my palettes and glazes. I have a strange way of working where I take the palette that I am using for a piece, and I keep my notes all together in a ziploc bag. This works really well because I can see what I was doing, and go back to colors and see what they look like or what I was working on well after the fact. In fact on the St. Theodore piece, I set it aside for 3 years and came back to it and pick up exactly where I left it!
On the left are the stacked palettes for the Labyrinth series, Sarah & Jareth are on top and in the same bag are the Door Knockers palette. On the right is the palette from the Dragon pitcher along with the smaller jars of glaze I specially mixed for different parts of the Dragon.
Unfortunately, the pieces that are in progress I somehow don't know where I put the palettes for (which is really odd as this has been a thing with me for a while). All I can think is that on the UFOs I have not mixed any special colors - OR - they are somewhere I haven't cleaned in my studio yet! Haha!
On that note, I should go and get to working, cleaning, or packing for the next trip.
